Levels belong to a framework
Because each level sits under a specific academic framework, a school running CBC and KCSE together keeps two clean ladders rather than one confused list.
A level is the rung of the ladder — Grade 4, Form 3, Year 9. It sounds trivial until you try to sort it. Almost every system that stores levels as free text eventually produces a report where Grade 10 sits between Grade 1 and Grade 2.
Msomi stores levels as ordered records attached to a framework. You control the naming and the sequence; everything downstream — class lists, promotion, dashboards, report cards, analytics — reads that same order.
